Lintels

Design parameters

250 series

An image showing 3 Skylark 250 series lintels of different lengths. They range from S to L size.
Span (mm) n boards \(I (cm^4)\) \(W (cm^3)\) \(A_s (mm^2)\) \(A_b (mm^2)\)
S 1200 3 13799 882 10260 972
M 1800 3 13799 882 10260 972
L 2400 3 41006 1823 10260 972

Where \(I\) is the second moment of inertia, \(W\) is the section modulus, \(A_s\) is the shear area at the support and \(A_b\) is the bearing area at the support.

How these values\formulae can be used?

These values can be used for design purposes. Please check the worked examples section for more details.

Where do these values\formulae come from?

These values come from an experimental testing and analytical modelling. Please check the research library for more details.
